This confidentiality policy applies to the website www.erasmushouse.museum (hereinafter referred to as “the Website”). This website is managed by the Erasmus House & Beguinage municipal museums of Anderlecht, which are headquartered in 31 Rue de Formanoir, 1070 Brussels, and represented by Mr Fabrice Cumps in his capacity as burgomaster of Anderlecht. The Erasmus House & Beguinage municipal museums of Anderlecht are hereinafter referred to as “the Museums”.

 

1.1 Aims of this confidentiality policy

The Museums deem it important to offer their visitors and users quality service. To that end, the Museums collect and process certain personal data in compliance with the laws in force. We systematically abide by the requirements of the Belgian privacy protection law of 1992, which has been replaced since 25 May 2018 by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The aim of this confidentiality policy is to inform you about how we process your personal data.

 

1.2 What personal data do we use?

The data that you give us:
– If you wish to book or buy tickets on line for an activity, visit, etc., you must consent to your data being stored (temporarily) and processed. These data will be used for no other purposes than those for which you have given your consent. If you do not agree, you will not have access to certain museum services.
The following data are collected and used solely in the context of bookings or online purchases. No payment information is collected via our Website. The online payments are managed by the “Stripe” platform.

– You may share the pages that you consult on this Website on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) by means of buttons for this purpose. When you use these buttons, the third party in question also inserts cookies and can thus record some of the data relating to your consultation of the Website. – When you subscribe to our newsletter or if you register for a specific action the following data will be requested and kept:

Be as precise as possible so that we can process your request quickly and correctly. It is vital that you identify yourself clearly in your request, failing which we will be unable to process it.

1.6 Applicable law – Disputes

The Website is governed by Belgian law and in the event of a dispute the courts of the Brussels district have sole jurisdiction.
