Game Snark! Find the beasties lurking in our museum

Erasmus House’s new game for children ages 6 to 10 shines a spotlight on the animals portrayed in the works of its permanent collections.
Hunting the Snark: Find the beasties lurking in our museum!
The depictions of animals in Renaissance art are at the heart of this visitors’ game. In addition to the focus on the works and their details, it is also a fun way to learn about history, the arts and the Renaissance period.
All 6 to 10 year olds supervised by an adult may take part in this very singular scavenger hunt, where the goal is to find the real, invented or hybrid animals hidden in the museum’s many works of art. Think up your own fantastic creature based on real animals, just as the famous painter Hieronymus Bosch did, draw it and don’t forget to give it a very original name!
