Samen met de collegiale Sint-Pieter-en-Sint-Guidokerk vormen ze een uitzonderlijk historisch geheel. In 2021 werd dit museum ontmanteld om een grondige restauratie van het bouwwerk te ondergaan en wat momenteel is voltooid. Om te beginnen kan het publiek <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmushouse.museum\/nl\/2022\/09\/bezoek-het-gerestaureerde-begijnhof\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">elke eerste zondag van de maand<\/a> zien wat voor een werk er is verricht om de oorspronkelijke allure aan dit uitzonderlijk erfgoed \u2013 uniek in Europa \u2013 terug te geven.<br \/>\nMomenteel wordt een nieuw museaal project uitgewerkt dat beantwoordt aan de vereisten van een in zijn tijd verankerde hedendaagse instelling.
