The exhibition RHoK’s Eye \u2013 Impression \/ Expression<\/em> gives visitors the possibility of seeing the museums\u2019 permanent collections through another prism. About the exhibition<\/h4>\n

RHoK Academie\u2019s “Vrije Grafiek” (\u201cFree Graphics\u201d) workshop offers an artistic dialogue about the process of creating images. The works of art, be they on paper (woodcuts, lithographs, silk screen prints, etc.) or digital challenge the permanent collections of the Erasmus House.<\/p>\n

This back-and-forth between eras and representations also sheds light on the dissemination of ideas in the 16th century \u2013 something dear to Erasmus\u2019s heart \u2013 and puts it in perspective with the viral spread of images in today\u2019s media.<\/p>\n

RHoK’s Eye \u2013 Impression \/ Expression<\/em>: images of bygone days seen through the eyes of today\u2019s artists, or when the eye and vision become light, colour, and creation.<\/p>\n

About RhoK Academie<\/h4>\n

The Etterbeek-based art school RHoK Academie<\/a> – Beeldende & Audiovisuele Kunsten (“Vrije Grafiek” workshop) is known for the quality of its work and is constantly searching for inspiring and atypical venues to give its students a chance to renew themselves, to think, and to create works of art in different worlds. A score of its students spent several months immersed in the Erasmus House museum familiarising themselves with the history-filled place, its architecture, and its holdings.<\/p>\n
