The Renaissance Room

We enter the Renaissance or Chapter Room, built in 1515. The walls are covered with repoussé Cordova leather in turquoise and gold. The architect used a trick of perspective to create an illusion of depth (the distances between the windows diminishes towards the end of the room.) All the paintings in the room belong to the Flemish School of the XVth and XVIth century (Hieronymus Bosch, Joost Van Cleve, Quinten Metsys, Pieter Huys, Frans Francken II).
