Call for papers

Call for papers for the 2011 meeting of the Renaissance Society of America, Montréal, Canada, 24-26 March 2011

The FISIER is affiliated with the Renaissance Society of America and we can therefore arrange panels at the RSA meetings. However, members wishing to attend the meetings still need to join the RSA.

For the Montreal meeting, we are therefore inviting FISIER members to submit papers on:

- libraries and collections in the Renaissance;
- the reconstitution of lost libraries according to humanist works and correspondence

Abstracts (max. 150 words, exclusive of their titles) must be submitted by e-mail on or before 19 May 2010 to Philip Ford
pjf2@cam.ac.uk.

In Montréal and Cambridge, Jean-François Cottier (Université de Montréal) along with GREPSOMM (Groupe de recherche sur les pouvoirs et les sociétés de l’Occident médiéval et moderne) will organise sessions on the library of Erasmus in association with the Fisier.

These sessions in Montréal will be continued by two conferences in 2012, organised by four member groups of the Fisier. All the proceedings from Montréal and Cambridge will be published.
